Sometimes, it isn’t better to do it yourself. Let’s take a look at a few of the DIY moving fails out there that missed the mark and determine what the better option would have been instead.

1. Getting your moving truck stuck under a bridge.

You ever wonder why all bridges that go over roads have a sign indicating feet and inches? It’s the height of the bridge and these signs let truck drivers know whether their vehicle will fit under it or not. If you rent a truck yourself, this can happen to you if you’re not careful enough. Experienced professional movers, on the other hand, won’t make the same mistake and will plan the route accordingly or will otherwise circumvent these low overpasses.

2. Starting to pack and realizing you’re in over your head.

We’ve all been there. 6. Getting ready to unpack and realizing your boxes aren’t labeled.
